As a child, fascinated by the Buddha image, I began to draw him tirelessly, searching for everything that was available. Later on, I had the opportunity to learn traditional Bhutanese statuary and work with the great master-painter Khonchog Lhadrepa and more recently with Dorje Zangpo, artists of the two main traditions of tibetan painting - Karma Gadri and Menri, having worked for some of the greatest contemporary Tibetan masters such as Kyabje Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche and His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
Although I have been very lucky to meet with such opportunities, I am in no way pretending to be a representative of the art they showed me, even at the most basic level.
Benefiting from the trust and guidance of qualified Tibetan masters, I pursue this practice both in the traditional style and through a more personal approach, a wonderful way to use the brush in a broader perspective.
Among many different types of works, some of my drawings appear in the books of Padmakara and Shambhala Publications.
